My husband and I love to have dinner parties. We do not invite people over expecting reciprocation but there are a few people who never reciprocate or even offer to bring anything. They are in our outer circle of friends and get an invite by default. How should I handle these people? …Manju
There is no harm in asking these people to bring something. They can pick up dessert or bring bottle of wine if time is an issue. If money is an issue, then ask them to bring a simple cooked dish. When they see that they are the only couple to have been asked to conribute(I am assuming you won’t ask the other couples that do reciprocate) they will get the hint.
